Subscriptions and payment

Standard and Pro are auto-renewing Apple subscriptions. Review the localized price, billing period and offer shown by Apple before confirming. An eligible seven-day trial begins only when you confirm the subscription purchase and renews at the displayed price unless cancelled. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple subscription settings; cancellation preserves verified access until its end date.

Apple processes payments and decides refund requests under its rules and applicable law. Restore Purchases synchronizes eligible purchases for the same Apple Account; it does not transfer manuscript files. Cloud Credits are prepaid consumable purchases, separate from subscriptions. They do not expire and remain spendable after a subscription ends. New packs require an active Standard or Pro subscription, including a verified trial. The purchase screen shows the credits and Apple price before you confirm.

Plan access

Core preserves writing, editing, saving, recovery, backup, restore, import and default PDF, DOCX and TXT export. It includes 15 local Assistant requests per calendar month on supported hardware. Standard removes the active-book local Assistant allowance. Pro adds same-project cross-book context, custom export layouts and unlimited author identities. Cloud requests always use prepaid credits; no subscription includes free Cloud Credits.

Paid capabilities come from verified Apple state. Pending, unverified, expired or revoked purchases do not create new paid access; verified Apple grace is honored. Local AI remains subject to hardware eligibility. When your plan changes, your existing writing and identities are preserved. Premium scope restrictions still apply when spending Cloud Credits.

Cloud Credits measure provider-cost allowance: one credit corresponds to $0.001 of the model provider’s list price for actual usage. Before a request, the service reserves its maximum possible cost and refuses it if the balance is too low. Actual usage is charged and unused reservation is released after a completed response. An interrupted request may retain its reserved ceiling if actual usage cannot be established. Apple refunds reduce the balance by the refunded pack grant; the balance may become negative, blocking Cloud until replenished. There is no automatic top-up or collection attempt.

Your writing and AI output

You retain all rights you hold in your manuscripts, research and other original materials. You grant only the processing permission needed to perform the actions you request. Assistant output is never inserted into writing without your explicit action. You are responsible for reviewing generated material and obtaining any rights or permissions needed for its use.

Cloud requests use Anthropic under its commercial terms and usage policy, including restrictions on unlawful or harmful uses. Local requests run on your Mac when supported. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to other output. Verify facts, citations and suitability before publication or reliance. Use of Ghost Writer

Use Ghost Writer lawfully and respect the rights of others and applicable provider usage policies. Do not interfere with the service, abuse the credit system or bypass purchase verification. We may restrict abusive Cloud access when reasonably necessary, while your locally stored writing remains accessible. Open-source component licenses continue to apply to those components.

To the extent permitted by law, the app and AI service are provided without guarantees that output is accurate or that service is uninterrupted. Keep backups. Berakah Labs inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Ghost Writer in the preceding 12 months or US $100. These limits do not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

Availability and changes

TestFlight, Apple sandbox and local StoreKit purchases are testing transactions and do not constitute production sales or entitlements. Features may be unavailable while an external service or Apple verification is unavailable. Core writing remains available. Cloud usage is subject to request, rate and spending limits intended to protect prepaid balances and service reliability.

We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be published with a new effective date and any notice required by law. Changes do not remove ownership of your writing or expire purchased credits. Contact support@myghostwriteros.com if you need help exporting your work or resolving a purchase or credit issue.
